While Sarah de Warren’s star has been on a fast-rise for a couple of years now, there’s every likelihood that 2023 will go down as her breakthrough 365. Moving from featured vocalist to solo artist, and accompanied by eye-wowing official videos, killer, all-bases reworks from remix heavyweights and the backing of some clout-carrying labels (Black Hole and Monstercat amongst them), the singer-songwriter’s about to step up.

There’s also a single … or indeed a handful of singles, that just have that extra X about them, and ‘Monster’s [the one to kick them off …

For the release, Sarah’s been remix-paired with a man who’s had a hand in the making of many an artist. Paul Oakenfold ensures that ‘Monster’ owns its own musical space, with his production deftly moving within a nexus of three or more sub-styles. Through his slow rolling beats, guitar-driven bass, Depeche Mode-ish synths and casual electro aftertouches, Oakey’s creates a stylistic melting pot in which Sarah’s striking lyrics and heightened vocals thrive.

The single’s release is accompanied by an official video that visually charts Sarah’s descent into ‘Monster’-dom! Online today … and endlessly rewatchable, you can put eyes to it here, now [https://blackhole.lnk.to/monster/youtube]. ‘Monster’ also releases today, and is available through all good sales and streaming platforms here [https://blackhole.lnk.to/Monster].
